Begin in Rome, where you’ll explore iconic locations like the Colosseum, the Pantheon, and the Piazza Navona. Consider an optional visit to the Vatican Museums and St. Peter’s Basilica. From Rome, you’ll proceed to Sorrento, enjoying leisure time at your hotel and exploring the picturesque Isle of Capri.

 

In Pompeii, choose between a leisurely paced tour of the archeological site’s highlights, or a faster paced visit of Pompeii’s lesser-known gems. Then, continue to Tuscany, home to Italy’s best art and architecture. Enjoy a guided walking tour of Florence, learning of the historic home to many of the Italian Renaissance’s greatest artists. Visit the ancient maritime Republic of Pisa and see the famous Leaning Tower before stopping at a Tuscan winery to enjoy lunch and sample local wines.

Next, marvel at the sight of Venice, the “Floating City,” with its 150 canals and 400 bridges. See a glass-blowing demonstration and St. Mark’s Square before exploring on your own, perhaps partaking in a gondola cruise.

 

Visit Verona, the setting of Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, before continuing on to Stresa in the Lakes District. Visit the Borromeo Palace and gardens, or cross into Switzerland via the Alps. Enjoy a farewell dinner on the beautiful Isola dei Pescatori to cap off your unforgettable journey through Italy.
