April 26, Day 1 - Travel to Wheeling, West Virginia, where we’ll rest for one night.

 

April 27, Day 2 - Travel onward to Washington, D.C., the incomparable capital city of our great nation! We’ll rest in the area for one night.

April 28, Day 3 - Cruising Chesapeake Bay - Board our ship, the American Legend, and enjoy the natural beauty of Chesapeake Bay, a landscape that has inspired generations, from fishermen and sailors to artists and storytellers.

 

April 29, Day 4 - Norfolk, Virginia - Explore this vibrant coastal city, home to the world’s largest naval base! Perhaps you’ll take a tour of a nearby historic town, visit the Nauticus maritime museum to see the U.S.S. Wisconsin, or visit breathtaking botanical gardens.

April 30, Day 5 - Norfolk, Virginia - Dedicate another day to exploring this popular port. You could visit the Military Aviation Museum, take a guided cruise on the Victor Rover, or see the Wright Brothers National Memorial.

 

May 1, Day 6 - Cruising Chesapeake Bay - Enjoy another day of cruising one of our country’s most legendary waterways! Relax on your personal balcony, mingle with other guests, or revel in the talents of some of the region’s best entertainers.

 

May 2, Day 7 - Yorktown, Virginia/Jamestown, Virginia - Step back in time at the Jamestown Settlement, uncovering the story of America’s first permanent English colony, founded in 1607. Maybe you’ll take a trolley tour of Yorktown’s most significant sites, like the battlefield where the final major conflict of the American Revolution unfolded. Or, you could visit the American Revolution Museum, which tells the story of the nation’s founding.

May 3, Day 8 - Williamsburg, Virginia - Explore Colonial Williamsburg, meticulously restored to its 18th-century splendor, with an expert guide. See faithful reconstructions of 1700s-era buildings, ranging from grand public sites like the Capitol to humble tradesmen’s shops and taverns. Engage with blacksmiths, cobblers, and other artisans practicing their crafts just as the first English colonists did.

 

May 4, Day 9 - St. Michaels, Maryland - Known as the “Heart of the Chesapeake,” St. Michaels has long been known as a vibrant shipbuilding and seafood hub. Get a glimpse into the daily life of the 1800s while exploring the city. Perhaps you’ll visit the maritime museum, the Hooper Strait Lighthouse, or a local craft distillery.

 

May 5, Day 10 - Annapolis, Maryland - See Maryland’s beautiful state capital, founded in 1649. Maybe you’ll let a Colonial-attired guide lead you through a vivid narrative of the city’s storied history, including the account of George Washington’s resignation as the commander-in-chief of the Continental Army. Admire the gorgeous historic architecture of the area, and consider visiting the U.S. Naval Academy.

May 6, Day 11 - Cruising Chesapeake Bay and the Delaware River - Bask in the beauty of Chesapeake Bay as you cruise along. Sail through the Chesapeake and Delaware Canal, a marvel of engineering connecting two of America’s great waterways. As you cruise the Delaware River, watch as quaint towns and peaceful coves drift by. Keep an eye out for the Philadelphia skyline as it slowly drifts into view!

 

May 7, Day 12 - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania - Experience a powerful connection to the roots of American independence at the birthplace of the Declaration of Independence and the United States Constitution. Perhaps you’ll visit Independence Hall, the very place where the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution were both signed, or see the Liberty Bell, one of the most famous symbols of American liberty.

May 8, Day 13 - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania - Our American Revolution Cruise ends here, in the City of Brotherly Love. We travel to Columbus, Ohio tonight, where we’ll rest for the evening.

 

May 9, Day 14 - Today, we return home full of wonderful memories of an unforgettable cruise celebrating the origin of our great nation!
